Edge Hill University

Edge Hill University is a multi-faculty UK university offering over 250 courses and working closely with employers to deliver higher and degree apprenticeships alongside its wider academic portfolio. Its Higher and Degree Apprenticeships provide a blend of academic achievement and professional development, enabling employees to study part-time while remaining in paid employment and gaining sector-specific experience and nationally recognised qualifications. Current apprenticeship programmes include Registered Nurse, Nursing Associate, Advanced Clinical Practitioner and Operating Department Practitioner, many leading to professional registration with bodies such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Health and Care Professions Council. Edge Hill acts both as training provider and as an Education and Skills Funding Agency approved end-point assessment organisation, with end-point assessment carried out independently of training. Apprentices access university teaching, facilities and student support while developing practical skills in their workplace. For employers, the university offers bespoke, blended training solutions aligned to business needs, as well as broader professional development, CPD short courses, further study pathways, consultancy and access to expertise across areas including health and social care, education, business and management, computing and IT, and more.
