There are four types of training provider:
A National Provider is a training provider that is able to offer apprenticeship training in any location across England. Some national providers might also offer training in the devolved nations, i.e. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
An FE college is a state-funded provider that can offer a broad range of training options in a particular location to a range of employers.
A Specialist Provider is a training provider that is not state-funded and tends to offer training in specialist sectors or locations.
Universities offer training for Degree Apprenticeships or Higher Apprenticeships, sometimes running specialist courses for apprentices on a particular standard.
Chameleon Vocational Training Limited(CVT) is a training provider in the North East of England. We are based in Washington. We deliver qualifications for the Automotive Industry, including Level 2 Autocare apprenticeship, Level 3 Light Vehicle Repair and Maintenance apprenticeship. We deliver full time study programmes, bespoke training in Electric Vehicle, air conditioning, MOT Authorised, Nominated Tester,L3 Pre Assessment MOT. CVT was established in 2012 and during that time have trained over 100 apprentices. We work with 27 local employers and work with both local and national businesses. This year we have 40 apprentices. We work with employers in the North East and North West of England. CVT was graded by Ofsted as Good in June 2021.
