About
MTC Training
MTC Training is the training arm of the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), focused on developing the next generation of engineering talent and upskilling existing workforces in advanced manufacturing. It delivers specialist programmes that include fully funded engineering apprenticeships at Levels 2–4, HNC programmes and graduate development pathways, all designed to close skills gaps and help UK manufacturers adopt new technologies. Apprenticeship delivery is based at state-of-the-art facilities in Coventry, Oxfordshire and Liverpool, where learners train on industry-standard equipment alongside experienced technicians, engineers and scientists. For employers, MTC Training offers advanced manufacturing courses and commercial CPD covering areas such as additive manufacturing, robotics and automation, engineering essentials, digitalisation, laser processing and nuclear. Provision is delivered through a mix of on-site, block release and online formats, including real-time interactive courses, with an emphasis on practical application, emerging technologies and measurable business improvement. Working as part of the wider MTC, a member of the UK’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult, MTC Training aligns its programmes with cutting-edge industrial research to ensure learners and employers gain skills relevant to current and future manufacturing needs.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
